I moved to New York exactly one year ago. Growing up in California, I wasn’t used to changing seasons as there was essentially only one season all year long with slight variations: the balmy season with lots of sun and the balmy season with lots of sun…and Christmas. So naturally when I moved to New York, I was astounded by the nature of changing seasons. It’s amazing to see the city go from hot and humid temperatures and lots of adorable off the shoulder tops to beautiful fall foliage and chunky knits, over-the-knee (OTK) boots, and stunning plaid scarves.
The changing season inspired me to start my blog, which is an idea I’ve entertained for a while (open to any comments or feedback!). I love fall and the creative way you can layer cardigans, sweaters, and scarves. Taking a simple tank from summer and adding a light cardigan and a fluffy scarf is perfect for this transitional period. The perfect item to finish off the look and provide a great pop of color is this Rebecca Minkoff Darren Messenger Satchel in dragon fruit, which is on sale (bonus!) and can be found here.
Looking forward to being able to share more of my fall combinations soon!
