Mastering the desk to dinner look is crucial for the busy boss babe. Having the ability to go out directly after work and finding the key transitional outfit instantly makes the day a lot easier.

The desk to dinner outfit is as simple as finding a cute skirt and the perfect fitted blazer. I've paired a white blazer with a fun, yet professional black skirt here. The blazer adds professionalism and an exec feel while the skirt is fun and fitting for after-work drinks or dinner. My advice is always to err on the side of conservatism when dressing for work, so when in doubt, choose a longer skirt. An A-line silhouette should add some fun and flair, though!

Sincerely,

Sarah

Two more New York Fashion Week shows recapped for you all today!

Verdad

Louis Verdad presented his FW17 collection and it was a beautiful array of mixed fabrics, neutral/cream clean cut silhouettes, and fall knits drawn from the inspiration of Fall in Los Angeles. Verdad perfectly layered the pieces together for a chic, well put together look that was elegant, yet accessible.

Miguel Vieira

Miguel Vieira debuted his Fall collection at Pier 59 Studios during NYFW. It was the epitome of minimalistic elegance. It was also the only show I attended that was dual gender, which was very cool and gave me the opportunity to take a peek at both women's and men's fashion. The collection was a sleek black and white affair made up of lace and velvet and leather.
